Ministers Ken & Rosa Merriman reside in Columbia, SC. Formally, they faithfully worked in the ministry of helps under the leadership of Pastor Barbara F. Johnny and her husband, Co-Pastor Samuel Johnny at Good Shepherd’s Faith Assembly Church, while they are in transition awaiting for God’s directive. The Merriman’s operate as a ministering team joined together by God to help fulfill the “Great Commission” for the end-time harvest, with a heart to share the good news of Jesus Christ to all people. They are non-denominational, Word of Faith Preachers and Teachers of the whole Bible, which they believe is ALL TRUTH. Their teaching includes the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the baptism of water and the infilling of the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. Wholly, they believe in the promises of God and “The Authority of the Believer” of which the Lord Jesus Christ gave to us.

 

Ken is a Rhema Ministerial Alumni Association member in Tulsa, OK. He is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training College (RBTC); with a concentration in the Pastoral Ministry. He is also a graduate of Central Christian College of Kansas majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care management. Ken was called to active ministry before attending RBTC. However, God spoke to him about attending the school for further training of excellence in the ministry. He is grateful to God for this open door that equipped him to not only be called preacher/teacher, but thoroughly equipped to fulfill the assignment to pastor.

 

Before moving to Columbia, SC, Ken fulfilled assignments in areas of SC and abroad to preach, teach and help equip other saints in local churches to be skillful disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, and leading others to Christ. Under the covering of the local pastors, Ken held positions such as Assistant and Associate Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Adult and Youth Sunday School Teacher, Altar Care Director, and Usher. God placed him there to operate in the ministry of helps for “whatever” was needed to assist the pastors in fulfilling their visions. In conjunction he organized and taught in home Bible study groups on Saturday evenings in the Pee Dee area.

 

Additionally, Ken was a Family Counselor with Circle of Care Ministries based in Oklahoma City, OK. While with the ministry, his assignments included teach, care for and help equip “at-promise” teenage girls socially and morally for independent living. The focus was on practical life skills and God’s Word to be successful in their walk with Christ and in society. God is still getting glory through the seeds planted in that ministry and expecting more good fruit from the labor. Also, while living in Oklahoma, Ken was a certified childcare worker of the State of Oklahoma where he received extensive training and experience ministering to troubled teenagers from all over the state.

 

Ken has ministered in the Gulf, Carolinas and Midwest where he has held positions such as Pastor, Associate Pastor, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Deacon (chosen at age 28 and served 19 years), Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Choir Member, Children Ministry, Traffic Team, Classroom Head Monitor and several other positions.

 

Rosa has ministered as Praise & Worship Leader, soloist, sponsored concerts, and  ministered the Word on many occasions. She is also the founder of Rose of Sharon Ministries and sponsored the “Untapped Potential,” program administered in Richland School District 2 on the elementary and middle school levels, which was designed to encourage social, emotional, and academic improvement during the school year.

 

In conclusion, the Merriman’s are both natives of the Carolinas who were joined together by God’s divine appointment to fulfill a divine purpose. They believe and are obeying the Lord’s command to “go into all the world and preach my gospel.” They believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and are anointed and equipped with the WORD OF FAITH along with signs and wonders following.
